How Guidez works
Trust instead of ratings
Section titled “Trust instead of ratings”Most travel apps average opinions from strangers. Guidez does the opposite. You pick creators whose taste you trust, and you see what they specifically recommend. A place is on a map because a named person went there and vouched for it, with a note explaining why.
From a story to a map
Section titled “From a story to a map”A creator’s recommendations usually live in stories, reels, and posts, where they expire or get buried. Guidez turns that content into a lasting, usable product:
- A creator connects their Instagram content or a Google Maps list.
- Guidez extracts the places and resolves each one to a real Google Maps location.
- The creator reviews the draft: notes, categories, priorities, links.
- They publish it, free or priced.
The place keeps a link back to the exact story or reel it came from, so you can see the dish or the view before you go.
How creators earn
Section titled “How creators earn”- Map sales. A creator sets the price. Guidez takes a share.
- Affiliate commissions. Booking a hotel, tour, or activity through a link on a map earns a commission. Creators keep their own affiliate links and can add more with Linkify.
Travelers never pay Guidez directly. Your money goes to the creator’s map or to the booking platform.
Your data
Section titled “Your data”Guidez uses your location only to show nearby places and calculate travel times. It is not sold and not sent to a Guidez server. Things you save are stored on your device, with account sync in progress. See Your account and settings.
