Settings
Section titled “Settings”On mobile, open Profile, then Settings. On the web, use the profile menu.

| Appearance | System, Light, or Dark. Persists across launches. |
| App language | English or Hebrew. Opens system language settings on mobile. |
| Low-data mode | Stops videos from auto-playing in the Feed and place cards. Mobile only. |
| Distance units | Follows your device’s measurement system automatically. No manual switch. |
Location
Section titled “Location”Guidez asks for location the first time it would help, after a short explainer. It is used only to show what is near you and to work out travel times. It is never sold and never sent to a Guidez server.
You can use Explore, the Feed, and maps without granting location. You will see a preview city instead of your surroundings.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”The Notifications row in Profile shows your current permission and lets you grant it.
What Guidez stores
Section titled “What Guidez stores”- Your account: profile, and any maps you published or got access to while signed in.
- On your device: bookmarked places, visited marks, personal maps, trusted creators, and messages. Sync to your account has started but is not finished.
