Privacy and your data
The full Privacy Policy is the authoritative document. This page is a plain summary.
Location
Section titled “Location”Guidez asks for location the first time it would help, after an in-app explainer. It is used only to:
- show places near you in Explore and the Feed
- calculate travel times and draw routes
Your location is passed to the maps provider as part of those requests. It is not sold, and not stored on a Guidez server. You can use the app without granting location; you will see a preview city instead.

Account sync for the device-only items has started but is not finished, so switching devices may not carry everything over yet. See Saving places and maps.
Analytics
Section titled “Analytics”The app has logging points for basic actions so a real analytics tool can be added later. Today there is no analytics SDK and no ad SDK, and no advertising identifier is used.
Deleting your data
Section titled “Deleting your data”Deleting your account removes your profile and published maps.

Device-only data is cleared by deleting the app or clearing its storage.
