Put a map on your website
Any published map, free or paid, can live on your own website. You copy a short piece of code from Guidez and paste it into your site.
Add a map to your website
Section titled “Add a map to your website”- In the Creator Portal, open My Maps. This works the same on the web, iOS and Android.
- Select ⋯ on the map, then Share map, then Copy embed code. The code is copied right away.
- In your website builder (Wix, WordPress, Squarespace and so on), add an HTML or Embed code block and paste.
Not sure where it goes? Add to your website, right below Copy embed code, walks you through it for that map, with its own Copy code button.

Connect your website
Section titled “Connect your website”Connecting is optional and done once. Once your website is saved:
- Only your site can show your maps. Anywhere else, your embedded maps show “This map can only be shown on its creator’s website” with a link to the map on Guidez. Maps already pasted on other sites stop showing, and your site builder’s preview may show that notice instead of the map.
- Buyers of a paid map pay inside the map on your page. Without a connected website, any site can show your maps, and a paid map shows Buy on Guidez, which opens checkout on Guidez in a new tab.
Either way, the payment is Guidez’s own checkout.
- Select Connect website in Add to your website, or open Website integration.
- Enter your Website address, for example
mysite.com, and select Save. Any address you paste works; Guidez keeps just the site itself, with or withoutwww..
The code you already pasted does not change. Leave Webhook URL empty unless a developer asked for it.

What buyers see
Section titled “What buyers see”A paid map shows with its places locked.
- With your website connected: buyers select Purchase and pay inside the map. If your site does not sign people in, the map first asks them to Sign in to Guidez in a new tab, then they come back and pay. No email or developer needed from you.
- Without it: buyers select Buy on Guidez and pay on Guidez in a new tab.
Either way the map unlocks and is saved to their Guidez account.

When a free map becomes paid
Section titled “When a free map becomes paid”The code on your website keeps working. Without a connected website, buyers pay through Buy on Guidez in a new tab; Access settings reminds you to connect your website when you switch the map to paid.
Optional: a developer
Section titled “Optional: a developer”If someone builds your site, invite them under Website integration then Developer access. They can copy every map’s code and connect your site’s own sign-in, so buyers skip the Guidez sign-in. They cannot edit, publish or delete your maps.
